Indus by Supergaming Hits 11M Pre-Regs, Adds 4v4 Deathmatch Mode

Author : Simon May 01,2025

Supergaming's Indus, the eagerly anticipated Indian-made battle royale game, has just announced the introduction of an exciting new 4v4 deathmatch mode. This addition comes as the game, which is designed by and for the Indian gaming community, continues to evolve and impress during its closed beta phase. Players participating in the beta can now enjoy an enhanced audio experience, thanks to a recent overhaul of sound effects and music, further enriching the gameplay.

Indus is carving its niche in the battle royale genre with features that resonate with its target audience, including a unique Grudge system that rewards players for engaging with rivals. Since its announcement in 2022, the game has undergone numerous betas, each adding new elements and refining the experience. As the interest in Indus grows, so does its pre-registration count, which has now surpassed 11 million—a testament to the game's appeal in a country with a burgeoning mobile gaming market.

While the latest milestone of reaching 11 million pre-registrations is commendable, it also marks a slight slowdown in growth since the last major milestone of 10 million in March. Despite this, the game's progress remains strong and is a clear indicator of the excitement surrounding Indus.

Although a full release date remains elusive, with the game still in closed beta, there is hope that 2024 could be the year we see Indus move towards a public release or at least a public beta. As we await further developments, the gaming community is buzzing with anticipation for what Indus has in store.
