The Iconic 'Time Machine' from Back to the Future Is Now Up for Grabs in CSR2

Zynga's Custom Street Racer 2 (CSR2) is celebrating the 40th anniversary of Back to the Future with a time-traveling crossover event!

CSR2: A Trip Back to the Future

Starting today, players can get behind the wheel of the iconic DeLorean Time Machine from the original 1985 film. While it may not boast performance enhancements or special abilities, the fully drivable DeLorean is a highlight of this exciting collaboration. Beyond the car itself, CSR2 offers a complete Back to the Future themed experience.

This immersive crossover includes a film-inspired in-game interface, a fresh storyline, and a series of events. Three flash events focusing on the Time Machine are planned, alongside a community competition. Zynga has confirmed that additional themed events will be released throughout the year, ensuring this isn't a one-off update. Currently, CSR2 is hosting social media quizzes with opportunities to win prizes. Check their social channels for details.

No Time Travel, But a Legendary Ride!

While the game doesn't offer time travel to 1955 (or even 1999!), the CSR2 x Back to the Future collaboration is truly unique. The chance to virtually drive the legendary gull-winged DeLorean is a thrilling experience in itself.

Zynga's VP of Games, Sam Cooper, emphasized the significance of this collaboration, calling the DeLorean one of history's most recognizable and beloved movie cars. He highlighted the excitement of allowing players to race this iconic vehicle while celebrating the film's anniversary.
