Days Gone Remastered: New Feature Allows Game Speed Adjustment

Author : Camila May 02,2025

With the release of Days Gone Remastered drawing closer, Sony's Bend Studio has recently shared exciting details about the enhanced accessibility features coming to the updated version of the game. One of the standout features is the ability to adjust the Game Speed, allowing players to slow down gameplay from 100% to as low as 25%. This option is specifically designed to assist players who may find themselves overwhelmed during intense moments, such as battling hordes of Freakers. According to Kevin McAllister, Bend Studio's Creative & Product Lead, this feature aims to make the unique combat experience of facing hordes more accessible, especially with the introduction of the new Horde Assault mode in the remaster.

In addition to the Game Speed adjustment, Days Gone Remastered will include a range of other accessibility options. These include customizable subtitle colors, a High Contrast Mode, UI Narration, and Collectible Audio Cues. The auto-complete QTE option, previously exclusive to Easy difficulty, will now be available across all difficulty levels from Easy to Survival II. Bend Studio has also confirmed that most of these new accessibility features will be rolled out to the PC version of Days Gone, though some features like feedback and control customization will require a compatible controller.

Alongside these accessibility enhancements, Days Gone Remastered, officially announced in February, will come with additional features such as an enhanced photo mode, permadeath, and speedrun options. The remastered version of this 2019 post-apocalyptic, zombie-filled action-adventure game set in a biker-centric world is set to launch on April 25, 2025. Players who already own the PS4 version of Days Gone can upgrade to the PS5 remastered version for just $10.
