Freedom Wars Remastered: Accessory Usage Guide

Quick Links

In Freedom Wars Remastered, during Operations, you have the flexibility to select three comrades to accompany you, along with your Accessory and their accessories. While you can't directly manage the gear of your comrades, only enhancing their overall equipment, your Accessory offers a unique level of control and customization.

You can issue specific commands to your Accessory and tailor their setup to enhance their combat efficiency. Here's how you can customize your Accessory and select different commands for them.

How To Customize Your Accessory In Freedom Wars Remastered

Customizing your Accessory is straightforward and mirrors the process of adjusting your own gear in the Loadout menu. Just below your character's options, you'll find the Accessory section, which opens a similar loadout menu. Your Accessory can equip any weapon you own, as well as any compatible Modules for that weapon.

Unlike players, Accessories don't need ammo for gun weapons, which is a significant advantage. Additionally, you can equip your Accessory with one combat item of your choice, which they'll use at their discretion. While limited to one weapon and one combat item, the real power of your Accessory lies in the unique commands you can issue to them.

Accessory Orders

In the Loadout menu, you can select which set of Orders your Accessory will use. To customize these orders, interact with your Accessory in your cell and select the "Customize Accessory" option, the fifth from the top. This allows you to create a personalized set of commands. You can expand the number of orders by purchasing the "Right To Assign Orders Entitlements" from the Window of Liberty Interface Entitlements under the Accessory section. Once set, you choose which Order Set to use during Operations, and these cannot be changed mid-operation. The available orders include:

  • Follow Me
  • Stand by
  • Use Medical Supplies
  • Prioritize Revival
  • Rescue Comrades
  • Carry Citizens
  • Drop Citizen
  • Follow With Citizen
  • Capture Enemy Control System
  • Capture Nearby Control System
  • Capture Neutral Control System
  • Harvest Resources

You can issue these orders at any time during an operation by pressing up on the D-pad or the C key on PC. This allows your Accessory to focus on specific tasks while your comrades tackle broader objectives.

Best Accessory Orders In Freedom Wars Remastered

Here are the most effective Accessory Orders to equip for optimal performance:

OrderExplanation
Carry CitizenUse this command to have your Accessory transport citizens to extraction points while you and your comrades engage the enemy.
Prioritize RevivalIn intense battles, this command ensures your Accessory stays close and revives you immediately if you're knocked out.
Rescue ComradesYour comrades may fall, but their Thorns make them more combat-effective than your Accessory. This command helps keep them in the fight.
Use Medical SuppliesEquip your Accessory with First Aid Kits to turn them into a dedicated healer, keeping your team alive and fighting.

While your Accessory can deal significant damage with an upgraded weapon, it's generally more beneficial to arm them with a powerful gun and utilize them as a support unit rather than a frontline fighter.
