Whether this edition will be reprinted again remains uncertain—so if you've been waiting for the perfect moment to grab this collection, now is probably it.
As a ‘90s kid, The Next Generation, which originally aired from 1987 to 1994 and remained in heavy rotation throughout the decade, holds a special place in my heart. While Deep Space Nine and Strange New Worlds are fantastic in their own right, and the original Star Trek series deserves every ounce of praise it receives, nothing quite compares to the legacy of Captain Picard and his crew. Data, Troi, Worf, Riker, Geordi, Beverly Crusher—even Wesley—each character brings something unique to the table. And even though the first two seasons were a bit cheesy and uneven, they still feel like a warm nostalgia blanket.
If you prefer streaming, Paramount+ offers access to all things Star Trek, plus plenty of other great content. But personally, I prefer owning my favorite movies and shows either digitally or physically, so I’m never at the mercy of a subscription or internet connectivity. If that sounds like your style too, this deal is definitely worth considering.
