"Console Bans Begin for Marvel Rivals Players Using Keyboard and Mouse"

In a recent official statement, NetEase Games has made it clear that the use of keyboard and mouse adapters on PS5 and Xbox Series consoles while playing Marvel Rivals will result in account blocks. The company views this practice as a violation of their rules, citing the unfair advantage these devices provide due to their enhanced control sensitivity and the retention of aiming assistance.

Adapters such as the XIM, Cronus Zen, Titan Two, KeyMander, and Brook Sniper enable players to simulate gamepad inputs with a keyboard and mouse, offering a significant edge in competitive gameplay, particularly when auto-targeting is enabled. NetEase's statement was explicit:

“We define adapters as devices or programs that emulate gamepad control using a keyboard and mouse. This creates an imbalance in the game, especially in competitive modes.”

To enforce this policy, NetEase has deployed advanced tools designed to detect the use of such adapters with high precision. Accounts found using these devices will be blocked to maintain fair play across all platforms.

On another note, players have observed that a higher FPS in Marvel Rivals can lead to increased ping. While this increase might be less noticeable with lower ping values, a sudden jump to 150 ms from a usual 90 ms can severely impact gameplay. This issue seems to be linked to the frame rate, and for now, the best advice is to await a patch that addresses this problem. In the meantime, some players suggest capping the FPS at around 90 to maintain a balance. This recommendation might seem unusual to fans of games like Counter-Strike 2, but it's a current necessity for Marvel Rivals players.
