Zelda's Own Game Will Also Let You Play as Link Nintendo's upcoming title, The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, set for a September release, promises a unique twist: Zelda takes center stage in her own game, but with a surprising addition.

Zelda and Link: A Dual Protagonist Adventure

Zelda's Own Game Will Also Let You Play as Link

The ESRB rating confirms players will control both Zelda and Link. While Zelda's role as the main protagonist is clear, the extent of Link's playable sections remains a mystery. The ESRB description hints at Zelda using magic to summon creatures for combat, while Link employs his classic sword and arrows. The game is rated E 10+ and features no microtransactions.

"Players assume the role of Zelda to mend rifts across Hyrule and rescue Link," the ESRB summary states. "Link fights foes with sword and arrows; Zelda uses a magic wand to summon allies (wind-up knights, pig soldiers, slime). Some enemies are vulnerable to fire; others vanish into mist upon defeat."

This marks a pivotal moment for the Zelda franchise, giving Princess Zelda her first starring role. Unsurprisingly, Echoes of Wisdom has become a highly anticipated title since its summer showcase reveal.

The release date is set for September 26th, 2024, leaving fans eagerly awaiting more details on Link's involvement.
