The Last Knight is a captivating side quest in the Rinascita region of Wuthering Waves that adds depth and charm to the game's world. While it may not boast the epic scale of the main quest line or larger exploration missions, it offers a unique glimpse into life beyond Ragunna City, complete with rewarding incentives for players.

Compared to more complex quests like "Where Wind Returns To Celestial Realms" in WuWa, The Last Knight is straightforward and less time-consuming, making it an excellent choice for those seeking a quick yet engaging experience. Here's a detailed walkthrough to guide you through this intriguing side quest.

Starting The Last Knight Quest

To embark on The Last Knight quest, you must first complete Chapter 2, including the "What Yesterday Wept, Today Doth Sing" quest. We recommend completing the main storyline before exploring Rinascita, as many side quests, including this one, are locked until you finish Chapter 2 Act 3.

Once you've completed the necessary quests, make your way to Egla Town in Whisperwind Haven. Look for Cosimo, who should be standing in front of the first house near the main road exiting the town. A blue quest marker on your map will guide you directly to him.

The Night Reveries

The Night Reveries are a series of performances celebrating a knight who defeated a giant in Whisperwind Haven. As part of this quest, you'll participate in the performance by confronting the Mad Knight, among other tasks.

The Mad Knight only emerges at night. To encounter him, advance the game time to between 18:00 and 06:00 the next day, then head to the central pool in town. This enemy, though not particularly formidable, can be defeated with a focused offensive strategy.

The Last Knight: Mimic Chests

Following your victory over the Mad Knight, proceed to the tallest tower in town and follow the quest marker to where Carlow lies unconscious next to a large, purple flower. Interact with the flower to be transported to a different instance where you must identify the mimic among several chests.

The first three supply chests are genuine. However, in the subsequent set, only one is real, with the others being mimics. The correct chest is the second one in the middle-left position. Opening it will reward you with Astrites and other valuable items, but be prepared to fend off the mimics afterward.

The Knight's Trail and The Strange Scent

After recovering from the effects of the purple flower, you'll be tasked with visiting the second and third locations associated with the legendary Mad Knight. This segment involves following quest markers and engaging with NPCs.

After speaking with Mr. Millkeeper, Abby will alert you to a strange smell emanating from a nearby location. Follow the quest marker uphill to encounter a unique Chop Chop accompanied by invulnerable Leftless and Rightless. For this battle, consider equipping a Questless Knight Echo in your main Echo slot to parry the Chop Chop's attacks and stun it effectively.

Upon defeating the Chop Chop, Mr. Millkeeper will reveal that the legend of the Mad Knight was a fabrication created by him and other Windmill Keepers to protect the town. This revelation causes Carlow to flee in disbelief.

Find Carlow

Return to Egla Town during the day and locate Carlow in one of the town plazas, where he's being confronted by two knights mocking him. Instead of succumbing to fear, Carlow vows to protect the town and challenges one of the knights to a duel, embracing his role as a true protector.

The quest concludes with Carlow's challenge, and you'll be rewarded with Union XP, Astrites, and other resources. Completing The Last Knight will also mark it off your list for the Tales of the Isles event.
