World of Warcraft Classic's Season of Discovery culminates with its seventh and final phase, launching January 28th. This major update introduces the Karazhan Crypts dungeon and the challenging Scourge Invasions event. Guilds can then tackle the iconic Naxxramas raid starting February 6th, featuring a new "Empower" difficulty mode for seasoned players.
Phase 7 arrives just two months after Phase 6, which saw players conquer Ahn'qiraj. The lingering mystery of the Shadowy Figure, glimpsed during the Ahn'qiraj raids, remains unresolved; its potential appearance in Phase 7 fuels speculation.
The Karazhan Crypts, a 5-player dungeon located beneath the famed Karazhan tower, offers a new challenge. Simultaneously, the Scourge Invasion unleashes undead hordes across Azeroth, prompting players to undertake new quests at Light's Hope Chapel and collect Necrotic Runes for unique consumables. Rune Brokers in major cities will also offer new runes.
Naxxramas, opening February 6th, presents a formidable test, especially with the "Empower" difficulty. Conquering Naxxramas' four wings unlocks access to the Frostwyrm Lair and its final bosses, Sapphiron and Kel'thuzad.
While Season of Discovery concludes, World of Warcraft Classic's future remains bright, with exciting prospects for 2025 across all game versions. The long-term plans for Seasonal realms are yet to be revealed by Blizzard.
