Pokemon GO Bug Out Event: Dates, Featured Pokemon, and All Bonuses

March is buzzing with excitement in *Pokemon GO* as we celebrate the seasonal shift with a focus on bug-type Pokemon during the Bug Out event. This event offers ample opportunities to catch these fascinating critters, along with exciting bonuses and new avatar items to enhance your gameplay experience.

Event Details

When is the Pokemon GO Bug Out Event?

The Bug Out event in *Pokemon GO* kicks off on **March 26 at 10 AM local time** and runs until **8 PM local time on March 30**. This five-day window is your chance to snag a variety of bug-type Pokemon, making it an ideal period for Shiny hunting, as nearly all featured Pokemon have Shiny forms available.

Featured Wild Pokemon for the Pokemon GO Bug Out Event

During the Bug Out event, the following bug-type Pokemon will be more prevalent in the wild:

  • Caterpie
  • Weedle
  • Wurmple
  • Nincada
  • Venipede
  • Dwebble
  • Joltik
  • Grubbin
  • Dewpider
  • Nymble
  • Cutiefly (with Shiny potential)

New Pokemon During the Bug Out Event

Two new Pokemon, Sizzlipede and Centiskorch, will make their debut in *Pokemon GO* during the Bug Out event. You can evolve Sizzlipede into Centiskorch with 50 Sizzlipede Candy.

Featured Raid Pokemon for the Pokemon GO Bug Out Event

The Bug Out event will feature a variety of raid Pokemon, including:

One-Star Raids

  • Scyther*
  • Nincada*
  • Sizzlipede

Three-Star Raids

  • Beedrill*
  • Scizor*
  • Kleavor*

*Denotes Pokemon that can be Shiny.

All Pokemon GO Bug Out Event Bonuses

During the Bug Out event, trainers can enjoy the following bonuses:

  • Double XP for catching Pokemon with Nice Throws or better.
  • More Candy for Nice, Great, and Excellent Throws.
  • More Candy XL for Nice, Great, and Excellent Throws (for Trainers over Level 31).
  • Sizzlipede can be attracted with Lure Modules.
  • Higher chance of encountering Shiny Wurmple and Shiny Venipede.
  • Additional Pokemon will appear near a lured PokeStop if enough Pokemon are caught using a single Lure Module.

Pokemon GO Bug Out Field Research, Timed Research, & Paid Time Research

Spinning PokeStops during the event will grant you event-themed Field Research tasks, rewarding Mega Energy, Scatterbug Candy, and encounters with event Pokemon. Timed Research will offer a Lure Module and encounters with event Pokemon, while the Paid Timed Research provides a Lure Module, two Premium Battle Passes, and encounters with event Pokemon. Remember to complete and claim these rewards before the event concludes.

Pokemon GO Bug Avatar Items

New bug-type themed Avatar items will be available in the in-game shop during the Bug Out event, including:

  • Sizzlipede Boots
  • Scolipede Jacket

Pokemon GO Bug Out Collection Challenges

The Bug Out event features Collection Challenges focused on event-themed Pokemon. Completing these challenges will reward you with Stardust, XP, and encounters with event-themed Pokemon.
