Moonstone's Mechanics in Marvel Snap

Moonstone is a 4-cost, 6-power card with the ongoing effect: "Ongoing: Has the Ongoing effects of your 1, 2, and 3-Cost cards here."

This makes her highly synergistic with cards like Ant-Man, Quinjet, Ravonna Renslayer, and Patriot. Pairing her with Mystique allows for powerful ability duplication, particularly with cards like Iron Man and Onslaught. However, she's vulnerable to Enchantress, which negates lane effects unless countered by Cosmo. Echo is another, less common, counter to consider in combo-heavy decks.

Top Moonstone Decks (Day One)

Moonstone excels in decks featuring low-cost Ongoing cards. Two prominent archetypes currently utilize her effectively: Patriot and Victoria Hand/Devil Dinosaur.

Patriot Deck:

Wasp, Ant-Man, Dazzler, Mister Sinister, Invisible Woman, Mystique, Patriot, Brood, Iron Lad, Moonstone, Blue Marvel, Ultron. [Untapped deck link here]

This deck leverages the Patriot/Mystique/Ultron combo for massive power generation, amplified by Moonstone's ability to double the effects. Ant-Man and Dazzler provide additional synergy, while Iron Lad offers card draw and Invisible Woman protects key cards from counters (excluding Alioth).

Victoria Hand/Devil Dinosaur Deck:

Quicksilver, Hawkeye, Kate Bishop, Victoria Hand, Mystique, Cosmo, Agent Coulson, Copycat, Moonstone, Wiccan, Devil Dinosaur, Gorr the God Butcher, Alioth. [Untapped deck link here]

This deck utilizes the classic Devil Dinosaur strategy, enhanced by Victoria Hand's buffs and Mystique's copying abilities. Moonstone requires strategic placement to maximize synergy with Mystique's target (Victoria Hand or Devil Dinosaur). Cosmo is crucial for countering Enchantress and Rogue. Copycat is a flexible slot, replaceable with cards like Red Guardian, Rocket Raccoon, or Groot.

Is Moonstone Worth Spotlight Cache Keys or Collector’s Tokens?

Moonstone is a valuable addition to any Marvel Snap collection. Her synergy with Mystique creates diverse deck-building possibilities, extending beyond the decks mentioned above, including potential integration into Zoo decks. Her ongoing impact on the meta makes her a worthwhile investment.
