Match Colourful Minos while Balancing the Board in Mino, a New Match-3 Puzzle!

A new puzzle game, Mino, has just hit the Android scene, and it's capturing hearts with its simple yet adorable match-3 gameplay. Similar to other games in the genre, Mino challenges you to match three or more identical pieces to clear them from the board. However, there's a unique twist that sets Mino apart from the rest!

Mino Needs You to Be Stable

The key to success in Mino is balance. As you're busy making matches, you also need to keep the board stable. If you don't, things can quickly spiral out of control.

In Mino, you place Minos on the board, match them, and aim to keep the game going for as long as possible. However, every move you make causes the board to tilt. If you're not careful, your Minos could slide right off, ending your run. So, in addition to matching them, you must consider how your placements affect the board's balance.

Time is always ticking in Mino, but don't worry, there are power-ups to help you out. You can clear columns, launch rockets to stabilize the board, and use a wildcard Mino to match with anything. You can even upgrade these power-ups to give yourself a better chance at surviving longer and achieving a high score. The game also allows you to unlock and upgrade different Minos to boost your earnings.

Who Are These Minos?

Otori Studios, the developers behind Mino, seem to have drawn inspiration from Minions when creating the Minos. These creatures reminded me of the yellow pill-shaped characters, but Minos come in a variety of colors. Take a look at them and see if you agree!

Mino is a fun game with a fresh concept and a decent challenge. Its playful art style and colorful, monster-like Minos give the game a toy-like feel. I certainly enjoyed these little creatures with their tiny spikes and adorable stubby tails.

You can check out Mino on the Google Play Store. It's free to play and available globally now.
