In the high-stakes world of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 competitive multiplayer, players across the globe are constantly capturing and sharing their most impressive final kills online. While many showcase skill, timing, or sheer luck, few stand out quite like this one.
The D1.3 Sector is a unique secondary weapon in Black Ops 6, and its special Ricochet Blades ammo—introduced during the polarizing Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles event—quickly became a hot topic among players. Known for their unpredictable bounce trajectories, Ricochet Blades have already led to some truly wild in-game moments. But none quite as jaw-dropping as the one pulled off by player kev99gh.
In a tense round of Hardcore Search and Destroy on the Lowtown map, kev99gh executed what may be the longest Ricochet Blade kill ever recorded. Dubbed “pizza” by the community due to their spinning motion, these blades were designed to ricochet off surfaces—but nobody expected one to leave the map entirely and come back in for a one-hit takedown. The unsuspecting enemy peeked out a window only to be instantly eliminated by a blade that seemed to defy logic.

The blade travels along the edge of the map before bouncing back through the window and striking the enemy with pinpoint accuracy.
While it might look like pure luck, such precision isn’t entirely accidental. Redditor SpawnTubing—who shared the clip—explained that players actively study common camping spots and practice ricochet angles to pull off these kinds of trick shots. And as commenters noted, the timing of the enemy peeking just as the blade re-entered the window was nothing short of perfect. Every Call of Duty veteran knows how that feels.
Ricochet Blades appear to be inspiring a new bounce-kill meta in Black Ops 6, with multiple clips surfacing across various Multiplayer maps showing creative multi-bounce eliminations. Below is another example where a player successfully bounced a blade around the Subsonic map for a final kill.

Some players argue that Ricochet Blades are frustrating and unfair, especially when they strike from unexpected angles. Their complaints were seemingly ignored when developer Treyarch recently updated the ammo type, boosting its lethality and responsiveness.
Here’s the official patch note:
D1.3 Sector
Our initial design for the D1.3 Sector Ricochet Blades revolved around quickly launching many high-speed blades, meant to perform best blind firing into enclosed spaces. We have been following your feedback and agree that, in practice, the use cases for this ammo type are too low. The Ricochet Blades will now do 100 damage to enable one-hit kills, and to compensate we are lowering the fire rate and projectile speed. We think the popularity of this ammo type will see some new interest with these changes and look forward to seeing more of your cross-map killcams in MP.
Ricochet Blades Changes:
– Increased damage from 75 to 100
– Decreased rate of fire
– Decreased projectile velocity
– Improved bouncing speeds and physics
With these updates, it looks like Ricochet Blades are about to become even more dominant. As Season 3 approaches and Verdansk makes its highly anticipated return to Warzone, expect even more mind-bending bounce kills to flood the feeds—and maybe even a few rage-filled responses from those on the receiving end.
