Indiana Jones and the Great Circle: No Harm to Dogs MachineGames, the studio behind Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, has confirmed a heartwarming detail: players won't be able to harm any dogs in the upcoming game. Let's explore this decision and other game features.

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle: A Dog-Friendly Adventure

Indy's Affection for Canines Confirmed

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle: Respect for Animals While many games feature violence against animals, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle takes a different path. MachineGames Creative Director Jens Andersson told IGN, "Indiana Jones is a dog person." This decision reflects a commitment to a more family-friendly experience, even within the context of Indy's thrilling adventures.

Andersson explained their approach: "It’s a family-friendly IP in many ways...We have dogs as enemies, but you don’t really hurt the dogs. You scare them away." This marks a significant departure from the studio's previous work, such as Wolfenstein, where animal combat was commonplace.

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle: Gameplay Screenshot Launching December 9th on Xbox Series X|S and PC (with a PS5 release planned for Spring 2025), Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is set in 1937, between Raiders of the Lost Ark and The Last Crusade. Indy's quest begins with the recovery of stolen artifacts from Marshall College, leading him on a globe-trotting adventure from the Vatican to Egyptian pyramids and the submerged temples of Sukhothai.

His trusty whip remains a key tool, serving both as a traversal aid and a weapon against human foes in open-world-inspired environments. But rest assured, canine companions are safe from Indy's whip in this adventure.
