HBO has unveiled the cast for the iconic roles of Harry Potter, Hermione Granger, and Ron Weasley in its upcoming television adaptation.
The forthcoming HBO Original series will feature rising stars Dominic McLaughlin as Harry Potter, Arabella Stanton as Hermione Granger, and Alastair Stout as Ron Weasley.

Showrunner Francesca Gardiner and director Mark Mylod released a joint statement: "Following an extensive global casting search led by Lucy Bevan and Emily Brockmann, we're thrilled to introduce our new Harry, Hermione, and Ron.
"These extraordinary young performers bring remarkable talent to their roles, and we can't wait to share their on-screen magic with audiences worldwide. We're deeply grateful to the thousands of talented children who auditioned, demonstrating the incredible depth of emerging talent across our industry."
Warner Bros. and HBO previously announced six cast members for key Hogwarts faculty roles in the Harry Potter series reboot.
The initial casting reveal included John Lithgow (The Crown, Dexter), who had accidentally disclosed his role as Albus Dumbledore, alongside several heavily speculated actors.

Notable additions include Nick Frost (Shaun of the Dead) as Rubeus Hagrid and Paapa Essiedu (I May Destroy You) as Severus Snape. The ensemble also features Janet McTeer (Ozark) as Minerva McGonagall, Luke Thallon (The Favourite) as Quirinus Quirrell, and Paul Whitehouse (The Fast Show) as Argus Filch.
These iconic Hogwarts professors represent not just beloved Potter characters but significant figures in global pop culture. Each actor faces the challenge of stepping into well-established roles, as Lithgow acknowledged when confirming his Dumbledore casting earlier this year.
"I received the offer during the Sundance Film Festival while working on another project," the Tony Award winner told ScreenRant. "It wasn't an easy decision, knowing this role will likely define my later career."
"But I'm genuinely excited about this new interpretation. The creative team's fresh vision for Harry Potter made this particularly compelling. I'll be pushing 90 by wrap time, but I couldn't resist this magical opportunity."
