Elden Ring: Nightreign New Ranged Class Revealed

Elden Ring: Nightreign introduces an exciting new ranged class, the Ironeye, ahead of its highly anticipated release in May. Dive in to learn more about this sniper class that promises to redefine ranged combat!

Nightreign Reveals 6th Class, Ironeye

A Deadly Ranged Sniper

Elden Ring: Nightreign has unveiled the Ironeye class, a formidable sniper designed for players who relish the thrill of ranged combat. Set to launch in May, the Ironeye offers a fresh take on gameplay with an emphasis on speed and agility. The character trailer brilliantly showcases the Ironeye in action, expertly handling a colossal bow and arrow setup, and demonstrating the ability to scale walls for strategic mid-air strikes. This class introduces a novel aiming system that is said to enhance precision, particularly for headshots. In a stunning display, the Ironeye even executes a riposte maneuver, piercing an enemy's heart with an arrow.

During the Nightreign closed network test in February, players had the chance to explore four of the eight playable classes: the versatile Wylder, the robust Guardian, the agile Duchess, and the spell-casting Recluse. With the Ironeye marking the sixth class, anticipation builds for the possible unveiling of the remaining two classes by FromSoftware later this month, ahead of Nightreign's launch.

The quality-of-life enhancements, including the new aiming system, have sparked hope among fans that these improvements might find their way into the original Elden Ring. Such updates could make bows a more appealing choice for players, shifting the meta from melee dominance seen in the original game. Discussions on platforms like Reddit reflect the community's interest in exploring ranged builds, especially after witnessing the Ironeye's prowess.

Elden Ring: Nightreign, a standalone adventure within the Elden Ring universe, is scheduled for release on May 30th, 2025, and will be available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S for $39.99. For further details on the game, be sure to check out Game8's comprehensive article below!
