Unlocking the True Shu Ending in Dynasty Warriors: Origins
Dynasty Warriors: Origins offers three distinct campaigns, each boasting a hidden true ending. This guide details how to unlock the true ending for Liu Bei's Shu faction.
To begin, complete the Shu campaign. This unlocks the ability to replay stages. You'll notice a gold banner next to "The Battle of Changban," signifying an alternate ending. Normally, this stage involves assisting Liu Bei's escape while Zhang Fei defends the Changban Bridge. However, to unlock the true ending, you must defeat Cao Cao instead.
This is challenging, requiring a near solo defeat of Cao Cao's army. Liu Bei's defeat before Cao Cao's will necessitate a restart. To improve your odds:

Reduce Difficulty: Select "Historian" mode. The sheer number of enemies makes this battle significantly easier on a lower difficulty.

Strategic Partner: Choose Zhang Fei as your partner. This positions you closer to Cao Cao's forces, minimizing travel time.

Musou Meter Management: Prepare your Musou Rage meter. Cao Cao will deploy two Grand Tactics—eliminate two officers and defeat 250 soldiers. A weapon like twin pikes is recommended for the soldier wave.
Once Cao Cao's army is routed, defeating him should be relatively straightforward. A few additional missions remain before the Shu true ending is revealed.
