Destiny 2 Reveals Horror Themed Armor Sets for Festival of the Lost 2025

Destiny 2's Festival of the Lost 2025: A Spooky Vote and Ongoing Concerns

Destiny 2 players are gearing up for a chilling choice in the upcoming Festival of the Lost 2025 event. Bungie is offering two distinct armor sets for players to vote on: Slashers vs. Spectres, each inspired by iconic horror figures. This year's options include Jason Voorhees and Ghostface for the Slashers, and the Babadook and La Llorona for the Spectres. Warlocks get a Scarecrow and Slenderman option, respectively. The winning set will be available in October. The losing Wizard set from 2024's event will also return during Episode Heresy.

The announcement, however, has been met with mixed reactions. While the new armor designs have generated excitement, many players express ongoing frustration with persistent bugs and a perceived decline in player engagement within Destiny 2, particularly during Episode Revenant. Issues such as broken tonics and other gameplay glitches, although mostly addressed by Bungie, have left a lingering sense of disappointment among some segments of the player base. The focus on a Halloween event ten months away, while exciting, has also been seen by some as a distraction from addressing these pressing concerns. The community is eagerly awaiting further communication from Bungie regarding the future of the game and plans to address these issues.
