STALKER 2's updated PC system requirements are here, and they're intense – mirroring the game's challenging world.
STALKER 2 PC System Requirements Unveiled
High-End Hardware Needed for 4K, High FPS
With launch just a week away (November 20th), the final system requirements for STALKER 2 have been released. Even minimum settings demand a capable PC, while higher settings require a truly powerful rig.
The updated requirements are detailed below:
OS | Windows 10 x64 Windows 11 x64 | |||
---|---|---|---|---|
RAM | 16GB Dual Channel | 32GB Dual Channel | ||
Storage | SSD ~160GB |
While minimum specs are relatively accessible, smooth 4K gameplay at high frame rates necessitates a top-tier gaming PC. "Epic" settings, in particular, are incredibly demanding, potentially surpassing even Crysis' notorious 2007 high-setting requirements.
Storage needs have also increased from 150GB to 160GB. An SSD is strongly recommended for both capacity and crucial loading speeds in this unforgiving game.
Upscaling technologies like Nvidia DLSS and AMD FSR will be included to boost visual fidelity without sacrificing performance. While DLSS support is confirmed, the specific FSR version remains unannounced.
In a Gamescom 2024 interview with Wccftech, developers confirmed software ray tracing. However, hardware ray tracing, while being experimented with, is highly unlikely to be available at launch, according to Lead Producer Slava Lukyanenka.
Launching November 20, 2024, STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl promises a demanding, open-world, non-linear experience where player choices significantly impact the narrative.
