Firaxis Games Unveils Civilization VII Post-Launch Roadmap

Firaxis Games has unveiled a comprehensive post-launch roadmap for Sid Meier’s Civilization VII, detailing paid and free content updates planned for 2025 and beyond. The announcement, part of a special livestream event, included specific names and release windows for several substantial updates.

The roadmap features several DLC pack collections, including additional Leaders, Civilizations, and Natural Wonders. These paid expansions will arrive in spring and summer, complemented by free content delivered via patches and events.

The first major paid DLC, the "Crossroads of the World Collection," is a two-part release. Part one (early March) includes Leader Ada Lovelace, four Natural Wonders, and the Carthage and Great Britain civilizations. Part two (late March) adds Leader Simon Bolivar and the Bulgaria and Nepal civilizations. Free content will also launch in early and late March, featuring new Natural Wonder events and Wonders like the Bermuda Triangle and Mount Everest.

Further paid content, the "Right Rule Collection," is slated for summer release, introducing two new leaders, four new civilizations, and four New World Wonders. Additional free content and updates are planned from April through September. Firaxis promises continued post-launch support from October 2025 onwards. Specific release dates for all announced content remain unannounced.
