"Call of Duty: Warzone Update Sparks Major Issues"

The latest update for *Call of Duty: Warzone* has introduced a mix of fixes and new issues, stirring the community's reaction to the ever-evolving battle royale game. Since its debut in 2020, *Warzone* has captivated gamers worldwide, becoming a household name during the global lockdown. Despite fluctuating player numbers, the game's regular updates have kept its massive fanbase engaged and entertained.

Over time, *Warzone* updates have sparked both excitement and debate among players. The removal of the iconic Verdansk map was a bold move that split the community, while the integration of *Black Ops 6* movement mechanics into *Warzone* also stirred mixed feelings. On the positive side, additions like the Resurgence game mode and new maps have been well-received, injecting fresh excitement into the gameplay.

The most recent patch aimed to smooth out some of *Warzone*'s persistent issues, such as loading screen crashes. However, according to reports from CharlieIntel on Twitter, this update has inadvertently introduced new challenges. Players are now facing matchmaking difficulties, and the competitive *Ranked Play* mode is experiencing significant issues, including players appearing under the map and problems with Buy Stations.

Given that *Ranked Play* is the competitive heart of *Warzone*, these glitches are particularly frustrating for the community. At the time of writing, there has been no official acknowledgment of these problems from *Call of Duty*'s social media channels. Nonetheless, with Activision's track record of regular updates, it's likely that fixes are already in the works and will be deployed soon.

The game's player count on Steam has seen a dip recently, influenced by fierce competition in the online multiplayer arena, persistent issues with cheaters, and controversial decisions like the premium *Squid Game Battle Pass*. Yet, resolving these latest issues and possibly reintroducing the beloved Verdansk map could spark a resurgence for *Warzone*.

Call of Duty: Warzone Update Patch Notes

  • Fixed an issue where loading screens were causing instances of freezing or crashing.
  • Fixed an issue with bullet trajectory on the AMR Mod 4.
  • Fixed an issue in Resurgence where a player dying out of bounds would lose functionality of their field upgrades and killstreaks.
  • Fixed an issue where models weren’t visible for ammo boxes, self revives, and throwing knives.
  • Fixed an issue where players would not have a death icon when dying to Red Light Green Light.

### Summary

  • The latest Warzone update fixes loading screen crashes but reportedly causes matchmaking and Ranked Play issues.
  • Ranked Play now has players under the map and Buy Station problems.
  • Hopefully these issues are fixed sooner rather than later.
