Sunrise on the Reaping è tramontato nella sequenza temporale tra i primi prequel, The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes e la serie principale guidata da Jennifer Lawrence. The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping si basa sul romanzo del 2025 di Suzanne Collins ed è previsto per una versione teatrale il 20 novembre 2026.
