Sense4FIT: A Web3 Fitness Ecosystem for Rewards and Wellbeing

Sense4FIT is a Web3 "FIT to EARN" lifestyle platform offering a holistic approach to fitness, nutrition, personal development, and mindfulness. This semi-decentralized app combines online engagement with offline events like bootcamps and competitions, creating a hybrid experience. Built on the Elrond blockchain with game-fi elements, Sense4FIT aims to empower users to improve themselves while earning rewards. Social-Fi and Game-Fi features foster community and enhance motivation.

User identity and anti-cheat measures are ensured through blockchain technology (NFTs) and authorization methods (Maiar Wallet). The current app version utilizes Elrond's devnet, meaning no real money is involved. There's no paid content. Physical gym members enjoy premium app access, extending their fitness journey beyond the gym with progress tracking, personalized plans, and coach interaction.

Addressing busy schedules and the post-pandemic preference for home workouts, Sense4FIT enhances user retention through online engagement.

Key App Features:

  • High-quality video workout library from expert trainers.
  • Challenges: Individual and group challenges to encourage consistent activity.
  • Gamification: Fun and engaging elements to motivate users.
  • Avatar ranking: Rewards consistent effort, utilizing an anti-cheat system with integration to third-party fitness trackers (Apple Watch, Garmin, Fitbit, Polar).
  • Leaderboards: Boosting engagement and friendly competition.
  • Personalized nutrition plans.
  • On-demand coaching: Providing feedback and support for workouts outside the gym.

Anti-Cheat and Reward System:

Sense4FIT incentivizes fitness through challenges (30, 45, and 60-minute options) with performance-based rewards. A 1-minute test challenge is included. Reward eligibility depends on meeting minimum performance metrics (e.g., average pulse and active calories). Users select their own workouts or choose from the app's library. Integration with fitness trackers (currently Apple HealthKit) is required to verify activity and prevent fraudulent reward claims. Health data is accessed only during the challenge timeframe and is not stored or linked to user identities. The data solely determines reward eligibility.
