Zenless Zone Zero shows off new pre-release stream with a sneak peek of upcoming launch content

Author : Anthony Jan 23,2025

MiHoYo's upcoming action RPG, Zenless Zone Zero, unveiled fresh content in a recent pre-release stream. This version 1.0 livestream, airing before the July 4th launch, offers a final glimpse at new playable areas and characters.

Launching July 4th on the App Store and Google Play, Zenless Zone Zero takes place in a post-apocalyptic New Eridu, the last human city after a devastating event known as the Hollows. Players assume the role of a "Proxy," exploring this urban fantasy setting—a departure from MiHoYo's usual sci-fi and fantasy worlds. This bold shift could make it the studio's most successful game yet.

High Stakes for MiHoYo?

Zenless Zone Zero's July 4th release adds to MiHoYo's already impressive portfolio, built on the massive success of Genshin Impact. The game's unique urban fantasy setting and prominent musical score, showcased in the livestream, are key differentiators from the Honkai series and Genshin Impact.
