WWE 2K25 Unveiled by Xbox

WWE 2K25: First Glimpses and Speculation

Xbox recently unveiled screenshots of the upcoming WWE 2K25, fueling excitement among wrestling game fans. Given WWE 2K24's March 2024 release, many anticipate a similar launch window for its successor in 2025. While official details remain scarce, speculation is rampant, particularly regarding the game's cover star and roster.

Past WWE game covers have featured legendary wrestlers like Stone Cold Steve Austin and The Rock, as well as current stars such as Cody Rhodes, Rhea Ripley, and Bianca Belair. Although a Steam page leak hints at a potential cover athlete, confirmation awaits the official January 28, 2025 announcement.

Xbox's Twitter post, celebrating WWE RAW's Netflix debut, showcased screenshots featuring updated models and attire for Liv Morgan, Cody Rhodes, Damien Priest, and CM Punk. This sparked fan inquiries about potential Xbox Game Pass availability and generated positive feedback on the improved likeness of characters like Cody Rhodes and Liv Morgan.

Four Confirmed WWE 2K25 Playable Characters:

  • CM Punk
  • Damien Priest
  • Liv Morgan
  • Cody Rhodes

While these four are confirmed, the full roster remains a mystery. Significant roster changes within WWE, including both departures and new signings, have fans eagerly awaiting the reveal of their favorites. Many hope to see the Bloodline's Jacob Fatu and Tama Tonga, along with the newly revamped Wyatt Six, included in the game.

Although the initial announcement came from Xbox, WWE 2K25 is expected to launch on PlayStation and PC as well. Current-gen exclusivity is yet to be confirmed. A link from the WWE Games Twitter account directs to a wishlist page displaying Xbox, PlayStation, and Steam logos, promising further details on January 28, 2025.
