World of Warcraft's Extended Timewalking Extravaganza: Seven Weeks of Turbulent Timeways!
World of Warcraft's Turbulent Timeways event is back, and this time it's even bigger! Running for seven consecutive weeks until February 24th, players can journey through various Timewalking expansions, earning exciting rewards, a wealth of Timewarped Badges, and a significant experience boost.
This expanded event builds upon the five-week run from September 2023. Players once again have the opportunity to earn the stackable Mastery of Timeways buff, granting a 20% experience bonus after completing four Timewalking dungeons. However, the stakes are higher this time around.
The Timewalking adventure begins with Mists of Pandaria on January 7th and concludes with Cataclysm the week of February 18th, cycling through each expansion chronologically. Each week offers the usual Timewalking quests, dungeons, and raids, along with the coveted Mastery of Timeways buff.
Turbulent Timeways Event Schedule:
- January 7-13: Mists of Pandaria
- January 14-20: Warlords of Draenor
- January 21-27: Legion
- January 28-February 3: Classic
- February 4-10: The Burning Crusade
- February 11-17: Wrath of the Lich King
- February 18-24: Cataclysm
Rewards and Achievements:
Achieve Mastery of Timeways for five out of the seven weeks to unlock the "Mastery of the Turbulent Timeways 2" achievement, earning you the charming Timely Buzzbee mount! Timewalking vendors across all expansions boast new permanent items, including Season of Discovery transmogs at the Classic vendor. The Sandy Shalewing pet, previously unavailable, is also making a return for those who missed it. Furthermore, completing the weekly Timewalking dungeon quest awards Heroic-level gear during the Turbulent Timeways event.
With 18 consecutive weeks of Timewalking following the recent 20th-anniversary event, players are in for a non-stop blast from the past!
Looking Ahead:
The Turbulent Timeways event's conclusion on February 24th hints at World of Warcraft's future plans. Considering Blizzard's typical eight-week patch cycle and the recent holiday season, the most likely release date for Patch 11.1, "Undermined," is February 25th – ten weeks after Patch 11.0.7. With the Turbulent Timeways, Plunderstorm's extended run (January 14th - February 17th), and The War Within's upcoming major content update, World of Warcraft is setting the stage for an action-packed start to 2025.
