Ubisoft Confirms More “Driver” Projects After Cancelation of Show Adaptation

Ubisoft has officially confirmed to Game File the cancellation of its live-action Driver series adaptation. Initially announced in 2021 for exclusive streaming on Binge.com, the project aimed to "bring our games to life in new and exciting ways," according to Ubisoft Film & Television head Danielle Kreinik.

The collaboration ended due to the closure of Hotrod Tanner LLC, a movie-related subsidiary, in January. "We are no longer moving forward with our partnership with Binge for a Driver series," a Ubisoft spokesperson stated.

However, Ubisoft assures fans that development continues on other Driver projects. The company is "actively working on other exciting projects related to the franchise" and promises future announcements. Specific details remain undisclosed, but updates are forthcoming.
