Following the conclusion of World of Warcraft's 20th Anniversary event, players can look forward to the returning Turbulent Timeways event, offering engaging activities leading up to Patch 11.1. This event, similar to the one during Dragonflight, features a unique reward system tied to accumulating a specific buff.
Turbulent Timeways Event Details
Unlike the typical staggered Timewalking events, Turbulent Timeways packs five consecutive weeks of Timewalking dungeons, running from January 1st to February 25th. Each week highlights dungeons from a different expansion:
- Week 1: Mists of Pandaria (January 7th - 14th)
- Week 2: Warlords of Draenor (January 14th - 21st)
- Week 3: Legion (January 21st - 28th)
- Week 4: Classic (January 28th - February 4th)
- Week 5: The Burning Crusade (February 4th - 11th)
- Week 6: Wrath of the Lich King (February 11th - 18th)
- Week 7: Cataclysm (February 18th - 25th)
Completing a Timewalking dungeon grants a "Knowledge of Timeways" buff (5% increased XP from quests and mob kills), stacking up to four times. Four stacks upgrade to "Mastery of Timeways" (30% increased XP), both buffs lasting for two and three hours respectively and persisting through death. Completing another dungeon refreshes the timer. Maintaining four stacks of Knowledge of Timeways is key to achieving Mastery of Timeways. Inactivity risks losing stacks and requiring a restart.
Turbulent Timeways Rewards
Beyond the leveling advantages, Turbulent Timeways offers attractive rewards. The Sandy Shalewing mount, a returning prize from the Dragonflight event, is available for 5,000 Timewarped Badges from Timewalking Vendors.
Additionally, a new mount, the Timely Buzzbee, awaits players who achieve the Mastery of Timeways buff across five out of the seven event weeks.
