Ticket to Ride: Switzerland Expansion Brings New Routes and Challenges!

The popular digital board game, Ticket to Ride, is expanding its reach with the new Switzerland expansion! This exciting addition opens up a new route to Switzerland, introducing both country-to-country and city-to-country connections, adding a fresh layer of strategic depth to the gameplay. Build your railroad empire across Switzerland and its neighboring countries, charting a course through a beautifully rendered landscape.

This holiday season update also includes two new characters and four new route tokens, a delightful gift for Ticket to Ride enthusiasts. Developer Marmalade Games aimed to provide a festive expansion that introduces not only new locations but also innovative gameplay mechanics. The new route types demand careful strategic planning, making the game engaging for both seasoned players and newcomers alike.

Country-to-country tickets challenge you to connect specific countries, offering multiple route choices and varying point values depending on your chosen connection (e.g., France to Germany, Italy, or Austria). City-to-country tickets present a similar challenge, but require connecting a city to a country. Each country features a limited number of connection points, encouraging swift and decisive strategic moves.

Scoring is based on the highest-value completed connection for each ticket. Failure to complete a connection results in a point deduction based on the ticket's lowest value.

The Switzerland Expansion is currently available on Google Play, the App Store, and Steam, with PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox releases coming soon. Stay updated on all Ticket to Ride news by following Marmalade Games on Facebook and Instagram.
