Thrones' Kingsroad Beta Test Set for March Release

Author : Stella Feb 04,2025

Game of Thrones: Kingsroad is launching a closed beta on Android and PC, starting January 15th! Netmarble's action-adventure title, set in Westeros, offers a unique third-person perspective unlike previous Game of Thrones mobile adaptations.

Sign-ups are open now for the beta, running from January 15th to the 22nd in the US, Canada, and select European regions. Unlike strategy-focused predecessors, Kingsroad casts you as the heir to House Tyre, embarking on a journey across Westeros filled with battles and prestige-building.

The game's trailer showcases a Witcher-esque experience, featuring third-person exploration and combat, with three distinct character classes: Sellsword, Knight, and Assassin. While visually impressive, the true test lies in gameplay.

The closed beta registration closes January 12th. While visually appealing, Kingsroad will undoubtedly face intense scrutiny from the dedicated Game of Thrones fanbase. Monetization strategies and long-term support will be key factors in its success. Netmarble's ability to deliver a satisfying experience for fans remains to be seen.
