Hello, Switch fans, and welcome to the SwitchArcade Round-Up for August 28th, 2024! Yesterday's presentation was packed with exciting announcements, including several surprise releases. This usually quiet Wednesday is anything but! We've got news, a rundown of today's eShop additions, and our daily sales lists. Let's dive in!

Partner/Indie World Showcase Delivers a Bounty of Games

Nintendo's strategic pairing of two smaller showcases proved effective, resulting in a flurry of announcements. Highlights include surprise game releases (detailed below), Capcom Fighting Collection 2, the Suikoden I & II remasters, Yakuza Kiwami, Tetris Forever, MySims, Worms Armageddon: Anniversary Edition, new Atelier and Rune Factory titles, and much more. I highly recommend watching the full video for a comprehensive overview.

Select New Releases

Castlevania Dominus Collection ($24.99)

A third Castlevania compilation joins the fray, courtesy of a surprise Direct announcement. This collection features the three Nintendo DS entries: Dawn of Sorrow, Portrait of Ruin, and Order of Ecclesia. It also includes the notoriously challenging arcade game, Haunted Castle, alongside an M2-developed remake significantly improving upon the original. This is a high-quality release boasting excellent emulation and desirable features, representing exceptional value.

Pizza Tower ($19.99)

This Wario Land-inspired platformer makes a speedy arrival on the Switch. Players navigate five sprawling floors of the Pizza Tower to destroy it and save their restaurant. Fans of Wario's handheld adventures will especially appreciate this title, but it's also a worthwhile pick for any platforming enthusiast. A review is pending.

Goat Simulator 3 ($29.99)

Another surprise release! Goat Simulator 3 continues the series' tradition of chaotic goat-based mayhem. While performance on the Switch remains to be seen (given challenges on more powerful systems), its inherent absurdity might even enhance the experience. Prepare for silly goats, silly antics, and potentially, some system stress.

Peglin ($19.99)

While it's easy to speculate on missed opportunities, EA's absence of PopCap games on Switch is a notable oversight. Peglin, however, offers a satisfying alternative for Peggle fans. This mobile hit now graces the Switch, seamlessly blending Peggle mechanics with turn-based RPG roguelite elements. A review is forthcoming.

Doraemon Dorayaki Shop Story ($20.00)

Kairosoft's shop simulation formula receives a Doraemon makeover. This standard Kairosoft experience incorporates characters from the beloved manga and anime series, featuring appearances from other works by the same artist.

Pico Park 2 ($8.99)

Pico Park fans get a sequel! Supporting up to eight players via local or online multiplayer, this puzzle game emphasizes cooperation and strategic thinking. While familiar to existing fans, it may not attract many newcomers.

Kamitsubaki City Ensemble ($3.99)

An affordable rhythm game showcasing Kamitsubaki Studio's music. Simple, yet enjoyable for its price point.

SokoPenguin ($4.99)

A straightforward Sokoban-style puzzle game featuring a penguin protagonist. One hundred levels await.

Q2 Humanity ($6.80)

Over three hundred quirky physics-based puzzles challenge players to utilize character abilities and drawing mechanics. Local and online multiplayer for up to four players is included.
