Sony's Participation in 2024 Tokyo Games Show is Their First Appearance Since 2019

Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) is back in the main exhibition hall of Tokyo Game Show 2024, marking their first full participation in four years. Among the 731 exhibitors and 3190 booths, SIE will have a significant presence across Halls 1-8. While present at TGS 2023, their participation was limited to the indie game demo area. This year, Sony joins industry giants like Capcom and Konami in the main exhibition.

Sony's exact showcase remains undisclosed. Their May State of Play presentation previewed several 2024 releases, many of which will likely be available by the time of TGS. Furthermore, recent financial reports indicate no plans for major new franchise releases before April 2025.

The Tokyo Game Show (TGS), held at Makuhari Messe from September 26th to 29th, is poised to be the largest yet. As of July 4th, 731 exhibitors (448 Japanese, 283 international) and 3190 booths are confirmed.
