"Saving Your Game in R.E.P.O.: A Guide"

Author : Hannah May 28,2025

Cooperative horror game R.E.P.O. offers a thrilling physics-based retrieval experience for up to six players. As a team, you'll explore diverse maps, locate valuable items, and extract them. However, saving your progress is crucial to avoid losing all your hard work. Here’s how to save your game in R.E.P.O.

While many games feature autosave features, R.E.P.O. requires players to complete each level to ensure their progress is saved. Unfortunately, there’s no manual save option, so quitting mid-level or dying will erase your save file. Once you die in the game, your progress is deleted, and if you leave a level prematurely, you’ll need to restart from the beginning.

To save your game, follow these steps:

  • Complete your current level by delivering valuables to the Extraction Point.
  • Locate the truck and press the message button above your head to signal the Taxman, indicating it’s time to move to the Service Station.
  • At the Service Station, shop for supplies as needed, then press the same button to proceed to the next level.

Once you’ve reached the next location, it’s safe to exit to the main menu or quit the game. When reopening the game, whether solo or with others, simply resume where you left off. Note that if another player hosted the session, they must exit the game at the appropriate time for everyone’s progress to save correctly.
