TouchArcade Rating: Following the mobile release of Coromon, the popular monster-collecting game from TRAGsoft, a roguelite spin-off is on the horizon. Coromon: Rogue Planet (Free), slated for release next year, will be available on Steam, Switch, iOS, and Android. This new title aims to seamlessly integrate the turn-based combat of its predecessor with engaging roguelite mechanics, creating a highly replayable monster-catching experience. The Steam page boasts features such as 10 dynamically changing biomes, 7 unique playable characters, and over 130 monsters to collect. Check out the official announcement trailer below:
The original Coromon is a free-to-play mobile title. It will be interesting to see how Coromon: Rogue Planet performs on mobile upon its release, and whether it launches concurrently with the Switch and Steam versions. You can add Coromon: Rogue Planet to your Steam wishlist here. While I haven't played Coromon recently, Coromon: Rogue Planet's gameplay sounds exceptionally appealing. Based on the Steam screenshots, it appears perfectly suited for short bursts of play. In the meantime, the original Coromon is available for free on iOS here. What are your initial thoughts on Coromon: Rogue Planet? Have you played the original Coromon?
