Punishing: Gray Raven Blazing Simulacrum Patch Brings BLACK★ROCK SHOOTER to the Party

Punishing: Gray Raven, the acclaimed cyberpunk anime game, has joined forces with another acclaimed cyberpunk franchise for its latest content update.

Named Blazing Simulacrum, the patch sees Kuro Games’s visually impressive action-RPG playing host to BLACK★ROCK SHOOTER.

Blazing Simulacrum is easily the most significant update since those momentous events.

It consists of a new story chapter, new coatings and rerun SFX coatings, a ton of limited-time events, and a whole new A-Rank Omniframe. Her new exclusive coating—Elder Flame, will also be released during this patch.

BLACK★ROCK SHOOTER is obtainable within 10 pulls, which makes her super new player friendly. She is armed with an exclusive Bladed Cannon weapon-★Rock Cannon, along with a host of skills and abilities, including the ability to deal damage while releasing her signature. She is a perfect choice for a fire team.

Her weapon and skill action designs fully adhere to the original character’s style. The blue flame in her eye, the proficient use of “★Rock Cannon”, and the identical costume design to the original all highlight the meticulous effort put into this collaboration.

Other updates about this patch

There are old and new SFX coatings in the Blazing Simulacrum patch.

Coatings like Solitary Dream for Bianca: Stigmata and Vox Solaris for Selene: Capriccio are making a comeback, while Snowbreak Bloom for Liv: Luminance and Nightbreaker for Lucia: Crimson Weave are appearing for the first time.

Plus, the patch also boasts a neat Chessboard Realms roguelike gameplay mode.

What’s Punishing: Gray Raven?

Some time in the future, the world falls victim to a terrible invasion. The invaders are an army of robots that have become warped and twisted by a biomechanical virus called The Punishing. Those cybernetic marauders are the Corrupted.

Driven to the brink of annihilation, the last vestige of humanity has found shelter on the space station Babylonia. It is from this orbiting outpost that you, the leader of the Gray Raven special forces unit, must amass an army and reclaim your homeland.

Punishing: Gray Raven has been updated numerous times since coming out in 2021, keeping the fast-paced ARPG gameplay fresh and the player base happy. In 2023, Kuro Games released a PC client, and in the same year the studio also created an English dub.

There’s plenty to get your teeth into, then, and you can get started by downloading Punishing: Gray Raven for free right now on Android, iOS, or PC.
