Project Tower: Defeating Kupolovrax Guide

Author : Elijah Apr 26,2025

Kupolovrax is a formidable boss in Project Tower that can pose a significant challenge to players. With its projectile-based attacks, many may find themselves respawning repeatedly as they try to defeat this enemy. However, there are effective strategies to conquer Kupolovrax, which this guide will detail comprehensively.

While Kupolovrax's design may suggest targeting its illuminated segments, it's worth noting that hitting its carapace also inflicts damage. Let's dive into the strategies for each phase of the battle.

1. Project Tower: Kupolovrax Boss Guide

Phase 1

The initial encounter with Kupolovrax starts with the boss standing on the platform. Players should keep their distance, continuously fire at the boss, and employ these tactics to dodge its attacks:

  • Orb Ring Fall: Kupolovrax summons rings of orbs that cascade from the platform's edge to the center. To evade, watch the descending rings and execute a dodge roll just before an orb would strike you.
  • Orb Scattershot Fall: Similar to the Orb Ring Fall, but with a scattershot pattern. This is easier to avoid; keep an eye on the sky and strafe around the falling orbs. A well-timed dodge roll can save you from any close calls.
  • Orb Line Push: This attack is particularly tricky, as Kupolovrax sends multiple lines of orbs straight at the player. You can dodge by strafing into the gaps, but a more effective method is to wait until the first line nears, then dodge roll forward and immediately dash forward.
  • Stomp: Occasionally, Kupolovrax will stomp, sending out a shockwave. Players familiar with bullet hell mechanics can easily jump over this shockwave and keep firing at the boss during the jump.

Phase 2

At around 66% health, Kupolovrax takes to the skies. Continue to maintain distance and shoot at the boss while using these strategies to avoid its projectiles:

  • Orb Scattershot Fall: Kupolovrax launches numerous orbs into the air, which descend slowly. These are easy to dodge by watching the sky and strafing through the gaps.
  • Orb Ring Push: The boss pushes forward several rings of orbs that converge on the player. Hold your ground until just before impact, then dodge roll to the left or right to avoid them.
  • Orb Line Push: Similar to the Phase 1 version, but you can evade it by waiting for the first line to approach, dodge rolling forward, and then immediately dashing forward. Alternatively, dodge roll to the side and dash in the opposite direction to bypass the first line.

Phase 3

When Kupolovrax reaches around 33% health, the final phase begins. This phase closely resembles Phase 2 but includes a modified attack that players must avoid while finishing off the boss:

  • Modified Orb Ring Push: This attack has three components: converging rings, followed by two swift ring pushes, and then falling orb rings. Hold your position until the last moment, then dodge roll left. Immediately dash right to avoid the quick rings, and walk forward to dodge the falling orbs.

Project Tower is available for PC and PS5, offering players the chance to test their skills against Kupolovrax and other challenging bosses.
