Pokémon Go is bringing back the Bug Out event with Sizzlipede’s debut this time

Author : Claire Mar 16,2025

The Pokémon Go Bug Out event is back, bringing with it a flurry of Bug-type Pokémon and the exciting debut of Sizzlipede and its evolution, Centiskorch! Running from March 26th to 30th, this event is brimming with wild encounters, raids, bonuses, and challenges.

Lure Modules will be key during the Bug Out event. Not only will they attract Sizzlipede, but they'll also significantly increase the number of Pokémon appearing at PokéStops if enough Pokémon are caught using a single Lure Module.

Trainers will also enjoy 2x XP and extra Candy for Nice Throws or better, with increased Candy XL chances for those level 31 and above. Shiny hunters will have increased odds of encountering Shiny Wurmple and Shiny Venipede.

Expect a surge of Bug-type Pokémon in the wild, including Caterpie, Weedle, Wurmple, Nincada, Venipede, Dwebble, Joltik, Grubbin, Dewpider, Nymble, and the chance to encounter Cutiefly.

ytSizzlipede will appear in one-star raids alongside Scyther and Nincada, while Beedrill, Scizor, and Kleavor will dominate three-star raids. Event-themed Field Research tasks offer rewards such as Mega Energy, Scatterbug Candy, and encounters with event Pokémon.

A free Timed Research event provides encounters with Shedinja, Sizzlipede, Kleavor, and more, along with a Lure Module. For extra rewards, a paid Timed Research option (priced at $2 or local equivalent) offers encounters with Heracross, Sizzlipede, and Kleavor, plus two Premium Battle Passes and an additional Lure Module.

New Collection Challenges will reward Stardust, XP, and Pokémon encounters, and PokéStop Showcases will feature event-themed Pokémon. Don't forget to grab the new Sizzlipede Boots and Scolipede Jacket from the in-game shop!
