Pokémon GO Fest 2025: Dates, Locations, and More!
Niantic has unveiled the exciting details for Pokémon GO Fest 2025, along with two additional January events. Let's dive into the specifics.
Pokémon GO Fest 2025: A Global Celebration
The Pokémon GO Fest 2025 will be a three-day extravaganza taking place across three global cities in May and June:
- Osaka, Japan: May 29th - June 1st
- Jersey City, New Jersey, USA: June 6th - June 8th
- Paris, France: June 13th - June 15th
Further event details will be revealed in March 2025. Remember, event schedules are subject to change, but we'll keep you updated.
This annual event offers exclusive in-game items, gameplay enhancements, and bonuses for trainers worldwide. In-person attendees can enjoy unique city-specific features, exclusive merchandise, themed sets, community hubs, and team lounges. Expect rare Pokémon encounters, increased Shiny Pokémon rates, and more, mirroring the excitement of previous years. For example, the 2024 event featured Dusk Mane Necrozma, Dawn Wings Necrozma, and Marshadow.
January Events: Fashion Week and Shadow Raid Day
Beyond Pokémon GO Fest, Niantic announced two thrilling January events:
Fashion Week: Taken Over (January 15th - 19th, 2025, 12:00 pm - 8:00 pm local time)
This event introduces Shadow Palkia, rescuable from Team GO Rocket and Giovanni. Shroodle and Grafaiai will debut, hatching from 12 km Eggs. Other Shadow Pokémon like Snivy and Tepig will also appear. Keep an eye out for a fashionably dressed Croagunk during snapshots!
Shadow Raid Day (January 19th, 2025, 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm local time)
Trainers can capture Shadow Ho-Oh in Five-Star Shadow Raids. A $5 USD ticket grants eight additional Raid Passes, increased Rare Candy XL chances, 2x Stardust, and 50% more XP from Raids. Shiny Ho-Oh will have increased encounter rates, and lucky trainers can teach their Ho-Oh the signature move, Sacred Fire, using a Charged TM.
