Prepare for the arrival of Black Kyurem and White Kyurem in the upcoming Pokémon GO Tour: Unova, alongside the highly anticipated Shiny Meloetta! This guide details how to capture and fuse these legendary Pokémon.

Legendary Pokémon Debut

Pokemon Go Unova Tour Features Black and White Kyurem

Following the December 2024 announcement, Niantic has confirmed the debut of Black Kyurem, White Kyurem, and Shiny Meloetta for the February 2025 Unova Tour. From February 21st to 23rd, 2025, in-person event attendees in New Taipei City, Taiwan, and Los Angeles, USA, can participate in five-star raids to capture Kyurem and then fuse it into its Black or White forms.

Kyurem Fusion

Fusion requires:

  • Black Kyurem: 1,000 Volt Fusion Energy, 30 Kyurem Candy, and 30 Zekrom Candy.
  • White Kyurem: 1,000 Blaze Fusion Energy, 30 Kyurem Candy, and 30 Reshiram Candy.

Fusion Energies are earned by defeating Black or White Kyurem in raids. Reversion to the base Kyurem form is free. Increased Shiny rates for Kyurem, Reshiram, and Zekrom will also be available during the event.

Global Event and Shiny Meloetta

The event continues globally from March 1st to 2nd, 2025, as Pokémon GO Tour: Unova - Global, a free event for all players.

Shiny Meloetta makes its Pokémon GO debut! In-person event ticket holders can complete a Masterwork Research to encounter this Pokémon. The research doesn't expire, allowing for flexible completion.

Kyurem, Reshiram, Zekrom, and Meloetta originated in Pokémon Black and White, the fifth generation of Pokémon games. Black and White 2 introduced Kyurem's alternate forms, capable of learning Ice Burn and Freeze Shock, mirroring their Pokémon GO counterparts. This limited-time event offers a complete Unova experience.
