Prepare for increased encounters with special, festively-dressed Pokémon! Keep an eye out for Ribbon Jigglypuff, New Year's Hoothoot, and Party Hat Wurmple in the wild. Shiny hunters, rejoice – their Shiny variants will also have increased appearance rates!

Raids are getting a festive makeover too! One-star raids feature Snowflake Beanie Pikachu, while three-star raids bring Party Hat Raticate and Wobbuffet. All three boast elevated Shiny odds during the event.

For those who prefer quests, numerous Field Research and Timed Research tasks will reward you with additional Pokémon encounters. A paid Timed Research ($2) offers exclusive rewards including three Premium Battle Passes, three Lucky Eggs, 2,025 Stardust, and encounters with event Pokémon.

Don't forget the Ultra Holiday Box, available in the Pokémon GO Web Store for $4.99, containing a Pokémon Storage upgrade, an Item Bag upgrade, and 17 Rare Candies. And remember to redeem those Pokémon GO codes for some extra freebies!
