The PlayStation Portal boasts an 8-inch, full HD 1080p LCD screen with a 60fps refresh rate. It incorporates the DualSense controller's adaptive triggers and haptic feedback, delivering a familiar PS5 experience in a portable form factor.
Sony positions the Portal as ideal for households sharing a TV or for playing PS5 games in different rooms. It connects wirelessly to your PS5 via Wi-Fi.
Improved Wi-Fi Connectivity:
Initial reports highlighted connectivity problems. However, Sony's recent Update 3.0.1 significantly improves performance, enabling connections to 5GHz networks and public Wi-Fi, resulting in more stable remote play. User feedback suggests a marked improvement in connection stability. A minimum 5Mbps broadband Wi-Fi connection is still recommended.
