Phasmophobia Weekly Challenge: Mastering the Survival of the Fittest

Author : Sarah Apr 09,2025

If you're diving into *Phasmophobia*‘s Survival of the Fittest Weekly Challenge, prepare for one of the game’s most intense experiences. Here's how to ensure you survive and thrive in this terrifying trial.

How to Complete the Survival of the Fittest Challenge in Phasmophobia

Survival of the Fittest is a grueling challenge in *Phasmophobia*, stripping players of traditional evidence and sanity protection to test your ghost-hunting skills. You'll tackle this challenge at **42 Edgefield Road**, a house-style map known for its narrow, claustrophobic spaces that can make ghost encounters nerve-wracking.

Tips & Tricks to Complete Survival of the Fittest in Phasmophobia

Upon arriving at 42 Edgefield Road, you'll face unique stipulations. Traditional evidence-gathering tools are off-limits, leaving you without Ghost Writing Books, DOTs Projectors, or Video Cameras. Instead, focus on the ghost's behavior, movement speed, and ghost model to identify it.

Use the Parabolic Microphone to listen for distinctive sounds, like a Banshee's scream or a Myling's frequent noises. Place Salt on the floor to check for Wraith activity, and light three Firelights in a row to possibly reveal an Onyro. If you need more help, consult our comprehensive guide on No Evidence ghost behaviors.

You'll start with virtually no setup time and zero sanity, making you immediately susceptible to ghost hunts. Sanity cannot be restored, even with the provided Sanity Medications. The ghost will show high activity, and events will occur frequently, aiding in your identification efforts. Remember, the ghost's favorite room remains constant, despite its ability to roam.

Most doors will be partially open, complicating ghost location detection. However, the fuse box will be operational and on, a rare advantage. All nine hiding spots at 42 Edgefield Road are available, offering ample places to hide during hunts.

For this challenge, you'll have the **Monkey Paw** as your sole Cursed Possession. Using it to "wish for knowledge" can burn out incorrect evidences and ghost types in your Journal, aiding your guesswork. Be warned: this wish will temporarily blind and deafen you, triggering a Cursed Hunt nearby. It's a risky move best suited for group play, where one player can act as a sacrifice.
