Pokémon Sleep's Festive Holiday Event: Pawmi and Alolan Vulpix Arrive!
Get ready for a winter wonderland in Pokémon Sleep! This year's holiday event brings two adorable new Pokémon: Pawmi and Alolan Vulpix, alongside Eevee in a festive Santa hat.
Pawmi and Alolan Vulpix Debut:
The Holiday Dream Shard Research event, running the week of December 23rd, marks the arrival of Pawmi and Alolan Vulpix. Expect increased encounter rates for these Pokémon throughout the event, with Shiny variants also available. Bonuses will enhance sleep research and Dream Shard acquisition.
Catching Pawmi:
Pawmi appears from 3 PM on December 23rd on Greengrass Isle, Snowdrop Tundra, and Old Gold Power Plant. Its boosted appearance rate during the event increases your chances. Pawmi, Pawmo, and Pawmot all possess the Snoozing sleep type. While evolution via Candies is possible, studying their sleep patterns requires wild encounters. A Snoozing sleep type (a common, light sleep) maximizes your chances; the Balanced sleep type offers a lower probability.
Catching Alolan Vulpix:
Alolan Vulpix, also debuting at 3 PM on December 23rd, is rarer, appearing only on Snowdrop Tundra. Alolan Vulpix and Alolan Ninetails share the Slumbering sleep type, requiring a deep, 8-hour sleep for optimal encounter rates. A Balanced sleep type may also yield results, though less frequently.
Best Island for the Event:
To maximize your chances of catching both Pawmi and Alolan Vulpix, head to Snowdrop Tundra. However, be aware of the island's higher team requirements; consider strengthening your Snowdrop team beforehand.
Pokémon Sleep is available on iOS and Android.
