Path of Exile 2's Hidden Golden Idols: A Guide to Finding and Selling Them
Path of Exile 2 features numerous quests, some less obvious than others. Act 3 introduces a unique collectible: Golden Idols. These aren't typical quest items; they don't appear in your quest log and don't advance a specific storyline. Instead, they're valuable sellable items.
Finding the Golden Idols
After exploring the Vaal ruins beneath the Ziggurat Encampment in Act 3 and traveling through a time portal, you'll arrive in Utzaal (The Drowned City in the present). This ancient Vaal city holds three Golden Idols. Two more are located in the connected area, Aggorat.
These idols aren't random enemy drops; they're found on the ground or pedestals, often in side rooms.

Selling Your Golden Idols
Once you've collected an Idol, return to the Ziggurat Encampment. Not all vendors will buy them. Head to Oswald, located in the northern part of the encampment. He'll purchase your Idols for a significant sum:
- Golden Idol: 500 Gold
- Grand Idol: 1000 Gold
- Glorious Idol: 1500 Gold
- Elegant Idol: 1000 Gold
- Exceptional Idol: 1500 Gold
Collecting all five yields a total of 6000 Gold. Since they occupy inventory space and serve only as valuable trade goods, it's best to sell them immediately after discovery.
