Power Charges are a crucial mechanic in Path of Exile 2, enabling devastating builds. While not essential for all playstyles, understanding their function is key to maximizing character potential.
What are Power Charges?
Power Charges act as temporary buffs, consumed by specific skills to enhance their effectiveness. They're passive unless activated by a skill or item. Think of them as temporary power-ups. Abilities like 
Falling Thunder utilize them for increased damage output. Many builds don't rely on Power Charges, but some, such as the Tempest Flurry Invoker build, are entirely built around them.
Generating and Utilizing Power Charges
Power Charges behave similarly to Frenzy and Endurance Charges; they're inert until utilized by a designated skill or item effect. Their primary function is enhancing specific skills, making them a cornerstone of certain powerful builds. Experimentation and strategic skill selection are key to mastering their use.
