Monster Hunter Wilds 2nd Open Beta Test Date Revealed

Monster Hunter: Wilds' Second Open Beta Dates Announced!

Capcom has announced the dates for the highly anticipated second open beta of Monster Hunter: Wilds, scheduled for two weekends in February 2025. Building on the success of the first beta (late 2024), this extended test offers another opportunity to experience the game before its official launch on February 28th, 2025. This ambitious title is poised to be a major release in 2025, promising a vast open world brimming with diverse ecosystems and challenging monsters.

The second open beta will run across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Steam during the following periods (Pacific Time):

  • Weekend 1: February 6th, 7:00 PM – February 9th, 6:59 PM
  • Weekend 2: February 13th, 7:00 PM – February 16th, 6:59 PM

Beta Content:

Returning content from the first beta includes character creation, the story trial, and the Doshaguma hunt. A new challenge awaits with the addition of a Gypceros hunt, a popular monster returning to the series. Importantly, players can carry over characters created during the first beta, eliminating the need to recreate hunters.

Addressing Player Feedback:

While the initial beta was largely well-received, Capcom acknowledges player feedback regarding visual aspects (textures and lighting) and weapon mechanics. The developer assures fans that significant improvements are underway based on this feedback to enhance the game's quality before launch.

This second beta is crucial for both Capcom and the community. It provides valuable time for refinement and further builds anticipation for what promises to be a landmark entry in the Monster Hunter franchise. Whether you're a returning beta participant or a newcomer, February 2025 is set to be a thrilling month for monster hunters.
