"Monster Hunter Now Tests New Monster Outbreaks Feature"

Exciting times are ahead for Monster Hunter Now players as Niantic introduces a new feature called Monster Outbreaks. This innovative addition is currently in the testing phase, aiming to gather valuable player feedback for potential refinements before its official launch.

When Is the Monster Outbreaks Testing in Monster Hunter Now?

The testing period for Monster Outbreaks is scheduled from April 26th to 27th, with two sessions each day. The event will run from 10:00 to 10:59 a.m. and from 3:00 to 3:59 p.m. local time on both Saturday and Sunday. During these times, specific outbreak points on the map will be teeming with 8-star Black Diablos. The objective? Team up with other players to take down a total of 100 Black Diablos at each outbreak spot within the one-hour window. Note that this target is for each location, not a global total.

To participate, you must be at Hunter Rank (HR) 11 or above. Importantly, the party feature won't be available; only in-person group hunts will count towards the goal. Outbreak points are clearly marked on the map with a unique icon, and tapping on them allows you to view details and sign up on a roster to coordinate with other hunters.

Black Diablos Is Rolling Up with Serious Boss Energy, in Swarm Mode!

The mechanics of the Monster Outbreaks are intriguing. If you and three other hunters successfully take down one Black Diablos, it counts as four towards the 100 needed to complete the challenge. Should your group reach the 100-mark before the time runs out, you can continue hunting Black Diablos for the remainder of the hour.

Achieving the goal of 100 Black Diablos comes with rewarding loot: 3 Black Diablos Tailcases, 3 Ridges, 3 Primeshells, 3 Marrows, and 2,000 Zenny. Additionally, using the sign-up roster earns you a special Outbreak Test I Medal.
