Metro 2033: Cursed Station Guide

Author : Aurora Feb 01,2025

This guide helps players navigate the challenging "Cursed" mission in Metro 2033, focusing on the often unclear objectives and confusing layout of Turgenevskaya station. The mission begins after a railcar journey, leading Artyom and Khan to a group of defenders at barricaded escalators.

Locating the Bomb

Bomb Location The defenders explain that an explosives team went missing while attempting to collapse a tunnel to stop nosalis attacks. Artyom must find and detonate the bomb. Nosalis attacks are relentless; retreat to the defenders for support if overwhelmed. The bomb is located at the far end of the right-hand tunnel. Avoid the ghostly shadows in the central tunnel to prevent damage. After retrieving the bomb, either proceed to the adjacent tunnel or retreat if necessary.

Destroying the Tunnel

Tunnel Destruction To detonate the bomb, enter the left-hand tunnel (from the defenders' perspective) and wait for the cutscene. Artyom automatically plants and lights the fuse; escape immediately to avoid the blast. Alternatively, a grenade or pipe bomb can be used in the same area to achieve the same result. Note that nosalis will still infiltrate through other routes.

Destroying the Airlock

Airlock Destruction A secondary objective involves destroying an airlock. Ascend the stairs on the right to the torchlit area. Ignore any nosalis present. Interact with the support columns to plant a pipe bomb; evacuate immediately after lighting the fuse. With both tunnel and airlock destroyed, proceed with Khan to the shrine room, leading to the "Armory" mission. A comprehensive video walkthrough is available (link omitted for brevity).
