Marvel Rivals Reveals First Official Look at Blade

Marvel Rivals' Midnight Features Event Hints at Blade's Arrival and Reveals Ultron's Abilities

Marvel Rivals' Season 1 Midnight Features event has unveiled official artwork of Blade, fueling speculation about his potential inclusion as a playable character in Season 2. The event, accessible via the in-game Season menu, comprises five chapters with three quests each. Completing these quests rewards players with Chrono Tokens, Units, and a free Thor skin. The Chapter 3 reward is a Gallery Card depicting Blade facing Dracula, the Season 1 antagonist. This artwork marks the first official confirmation of Blade's presence in the game, following earlier data-mined discoveries. Season 1's narrative positions Blade and Doctor Strange as key threats removed from the battlefield by Dracula.

The artwork's release has sparked considerable fan discussion regarding Blade's potential role in Season 2, with many predicting a Duelist class and a transformation ability similar to Magik and Hulk's ultimates, enhancing strength, modifying attacks, and granting wall-hack capabilities.

Further fueling anticipation, leaks from Season 0 revealed Ultron's complete ability kit, suggesting a Strategist role focused on support and healing for allies. While initially anticipated for Season 1, Ultron's arrival might be delayed due to the introduction of the Fantastic Four. It's important to remember that leaks, while often accurate, are still unconfirmed rumors until officially acknowledged by NetEase Games.

Despite the uncertainty surrounding release dates, the abundance of upcoming content, including Blade and potentially Ultron, has generated significant excitement within the Marvel Rivals community.
