Fans of Marvel Rivals are in for a thrilling crossover as the game introduces the Advanced Suit 2.0 from Marvel's Spider-Man 2 as a fresh skin option. PlayStation shared the exciting news on a post on X/Twitter, giving fans a glimpse of how NetEase Games is reinterpreting the iconic video game outfit for its new hero shooter.
Originally designed by Insomniac Games for Marvel's Spider-Man, the Advanced Suit 2.0 has graced all three entries in the series. Its distinguishing feature, the iconic white spider symbol, now finds its way into Marvel Rivals, marking a surprising collaboration with Sony and its console-exclusive superhero game. Spider-Man's Advanced Suit 2.0 will be available in the in-game store starting January 30, coinciding with Marvel's Spider-Man 2 coming to PC.
Launched in December, Marvel Rivals already boasts a variety of unlockable suits, but the addition of the Advanced Suit 2.0 stands out as particularly unique. Its connection to the immensely popular PlayStation series, along with the voice of Yuri Lowenthal reprising his role as Peter Parker from all three Insomniac Spider-Man games, ensures that players will feel right at home when they don the suit and swing into action on January 30.
NetEase's choice to include Spider-Man's Advanced Suit 2.0 adds to the excitement surrounding everything that dropped with Season 1: Eternal Night Falls last week. This season brought new playable characters from the Fantastic Four, Mister Fantastic and the Invisible Woman, with The Thing and Human Torch slated to join soon. Creative director Guangyun Chen has promised to launch at least one new hero every month and a half, hinting at a continuous stream of fresh content.
While we eagerly await the chance to experience the new Spider-Man suit, take a moment to explore some of the custom skins players have modded into the game. Additionally, delve into all of the balance changes introduced with Season 1 and discover how some players are using an Invisible Woman ability to detect what they believe are bot players.
